Terms of Service

Tree Wellfinder ("Tree," "we," or "us") helps people find oil and gas wells and open locations in mapping apps. By using Tree, you agree to these terms. If you use Tree for an employer, you are responsible for following that employer's rules too.

1. Accounts and access

Keep your sign-in link and account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tree can change features and correct data, and may limit access when needed to protect the service or other users.

You can search wells and see their names and map pins without signing in. Other well details and exact locations require an active Well Hound Pack subscription or trial. Google Maps, Apple Maps, and coordinate copying are available with that access. Some wells may have no usable location.

2. Membership and billing

Well Hound Pack is $12.99 USD per month, plus applicable tax. If your account qualifies for the advertised seven-day trial, the first subscription charge is scheduled after the trial unless you cancel before it ends. After that, the subscription renews monthly until canceled. The checkout page will show the final price, tax, and trial terms before you confirm.

You can manage your subscription, update your payment method, view invoices, and cancel through the membership page and its customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; the portal shows when access ends. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first charge. If you have a billing problem or refund request, contact [email protected]. Payment and refund rights provided by applicable law still apply.

3. Property access and safety

Tree does not condone or encourage trespassing. A well pin, road, route, or other information shown in Tree does not grant permission to enter, cross, park on, or remain on anyone's property. Obtain any permission required from the landowner or other authorized person before entering. Follow all applicable laws, posted notices, gates, access restrictions, and rules governing entry and exit. If access is uncertain, stop and confirm it with the person authorized to grant permission.

Tree is an information tool, not a dispatch, emergency, or safety system. Locations, roads, operators, and access conditions can be incomplete or outdated. Verify the destination and route independently, observe your surroundings, and do not use the app while driving.

4. Your contributions

If you submit a correction, missing well, photo, or other information, submit only material you have the right to share and that does not expose confidential information or another person's private details. You permit Tree to store, review, and use your submission to check and improve well information. We may decline or remove a submission that is inaccurate, unsafe, or inappropriate. A submission does not guarantee a listing will change.

5. Acceptable use

Use Tree lawfully. Do not misuse account access, bypass location limits, scrape or bulk extract data, interfere with the service, or use well information to access property without authorization. Do not treat a location shown in Tree as a substitute for permission, an approved work order, or a current field safety plan.

6. Other services

Maps, directions, sign-in, hosting, and payments may involve other providers. Their services may have their own terms. Tree cannot control a third-party map's routes, road conditions, or availability.

7. Availability and responsibility

We work to keep Tree useful, but cannot promise every well record, coordinate, route, or feature will be accurate or available at all times. To the extent permitted by law, Tree is provided as available, without a guarantee that it is suitable for a particular field operation. Nothing here limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will post the updated version here and give notice of material changes when appropriate. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
